The White Bay Hotel was a pub at White Bay in the suburb of Rozelle in the inner-west of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia.

The remains of the pub can be clearly seen on Victoria Rd near the western approach to the ANZAC Bridge alongside the derelict White Bay Power Station.

The pub has been closed for a number of years, however a development proposal is currently being considered which would re-open the building as a bar, restaurant and office facilities.

History

The original pub, established in 1860 and located at the junction of Weston Rd (now Victoria Rd) and The Crescent, attracted patrons from the Glebe Island abbatoirs and local soap makers. It was demolished in 1915 to make way for the White Bay goods railway.

The hotel now standing was built in 1916, however the isolated position and closure of both the White Bay Power Station and Coal Loader ultimately took their toll on the pub, which closed in 1992.
